Prices can get confused based on deals being made. Unfortunately, in the laws of economics, those deals deflate the actual price that something is worth. I still can't see this cymbal being WORTH less than the 500.00 that I quoted for the Diril. It is a niche market but a niche market is just a market in which you just have to wait longer ,for the right buyer to find you.

There is no way this is a marching cymbal but it may well have been a suspended orchestral cymbal( they aren't always in pairs) and more likely was grommeted to protect the area around the hole from stress.

Hammering. It is well known that Zildjian had begun to abandon hand hammering by the time this cymbal was made but did their machine hammering settup accept a 26" cymbal? Or was their production schedule accepting of such a cymbal at a hammering station, in sequence with the regulars? The pictures don't show me that there is any machine hammering. Pic 4 is the best and in lieu of any marks that show the trip hammer patterns, it looks to me like this is a 100% hand hammered A.Zildjian 26" cymbal. I'd like better pictures to confirm that but given it's provenance , it's got to be worth 600.00 at least
