Does anyone have an old Remo "smooth white" head you are not using and wouldn't mind writing on it with a dry erase marker to see if it stays on the head and then wipes clean after a few days? I'm thinking the smooth white head would have better contrast and be better than the clear for easily seeing more than a few feet away.
Thanks.
You could always do the Woodstock logo of the guitar fret board with bird and the name of the band under it. Easy enough to do with black contact paper and vinyl letters from Michaels or any craft store. Can be removed and no harm no foul to the head. I did a 14" reproduction drum head for Bernard Pretty Purdie to sign for me for my drum cave. I did it using the same materials. Here is a picture of his original head that I copied. Easy peasy to do. I posted a picture of he and I with the head in the General Drum Question section for the CT Drum Info show post
