The drum seems to be an odd size, 13.5 by like 4" deep. the double bead threw me off as well, because it seems that all fo the ludwigs had single bead, and the only ones I found close with double bead were leedys from the 20's, but the hardware was different, there were two studs on the tube lugs and not just one.
Didn't see any markings on the rims, but I may have to take them off and check a little closer. The heads seem to be original and in excellent shape.

Pictures are kinda small, so it's hard to tell for sure, but the throw off looks a lot like the one on my 1920's Ludwig Jr. model snare. My throw off has nothing stamped on it, but I've seen other 20's Ludwigs which have the Pat. Pend. stamp. The rest of the drum sounds like it's the same construction except that you're snare has double beads running round the shell. Mine has a single.Check the rims closely (especially the top one). Mine is engraved with a simple script logo - Ludwig. It's small. What's the size of the drum? Any chance you could post links to bigger pictures? Thanks - BD.
