My latest acquisition

Nice find L-BDP. So much for you attempts to thin the herd. That definitely was a flaming color. Can't be a whole lot of those floating around. Hard to imagine that you had an extended opportunity to do a drive -y without it being sold. Very cool.

The lavender name gave me a flashback to a former mayor where we once lived in Newburyport, MA. The next mayor in line was named Holaday, but she wasn't into Rogers drums.

I looked through my Slingerland folder and found this beautiful 4pc set that was on eBay back in July, 2013. This set was pristine, but I don't have any information if it sold, or for how much. What it does, is to show how really beautiful this wrap can be!-Mark

Wow! That is eye-popping.

Congrats on your acquisition!! They are beautiful!! Hopefully, you can find the matching snare to complete the set...How often do they come for sale?

Cheers

I did thin out the herd. I sold/traded away the two drum sets, and brought home one set. So, now I have three drum sets and one cocktail kit.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I like them a lot. Are they mahogany shells? Finish is odd which for me is cool but I wouldn't know what to do with the second rack tom, Never played a kit with two of them.

Believe it or else!

Three ply maple/poplar/mahogany with weak chocolate milk paint on the innermost ply. Solid maple reinforcement rings. This is according to the guide written by Dr. C.J. Wenk.

I have always been attracted to the drum finishes that are not all that ordinary or mundane.I played with 2 up and one down for most of my gigging years. Most of those drum sets had two 8x12 toms. This set's 8x12 and 9x13 have wide tuning ranges so that it can sound like a one up and two down arrangement.
