No, I don't have 400 Ludwig snares. I have 2 Ludwig 400's. Made ya look. :)

The one on the left is brass the other is a 65 Supra-Phonic

Good eye! I've since replaced that hoop with a COB hoop. Subtle difference to my ear.

Sooo jealous! I want a Trans badge super though. Once I finish restoring my psych kit, i'm gonna use it to fund one. I used a rogers dyna without the frame for a while and loved it. But I want a ludwig brass...

Rogers Dyna-sonic without the snare frame can sound almost as nice as the Super. Brass is brass after all. The main difference is that one has COB hoops, the other has COS hoops. Both great sounding drums!
