More Gretsch questions

When did Gretsch switch the diamond plate script? Notice the pic on the left has it along the edge, the right pic has it centered nearer to the hole.

Also, are the screw threads different for the 50's bass drum lugs than the tom lugs?...Or did somebody sell me BD lugs from the wrong era?

Last question, on 50's 18" 3-ply bass drums, is it unusual to have the Pratt muffler on both batter and resonant as mine is? and if it happens, were the control knobs on alternate "panels" or were they aligned like the toms?

Thank you ahead of time for your help.

Must have been a Monday or Friday........

Most 18 BD's only had 1 Pratt muffler.......

I thought the through-bolt leg mounts were from the 50's and maybe into the early 60's. Guess I'd be interested to know, too.

Two Pratts don't sound right (no pun).
