MIJ Majestic Offset Lug Kit 12/13/16/20

Loading...

Greetings,

I picked these up recently on Craigslist locally. They were a "all or nothing" deal along with some Vintage A's and some vintage hardware.

As most of you know, I am an MIJ enthusiast, but I am also up to my eyeballs in projects right now and simply don't have time for another one.

These have offset Slingerland copy lugs on all drums. Shells are well made. Sizes are 8" x 12", 9" x 13", 16" x 16" and 14" x 20". Thicker MIJ shells (luan) with gray painted interiors and no re-rings. Cool, classic sizes. 10 lug bass drum! All but bass drum are complete, including tone controls. Everything appears to be original (aside from the.... (ahem).....re-wrap). No extra holes. Here are the issues:

Bass drum is missing reso side hoop/head/claws/t-rods. Bass drum is also missing one spur. The bracket is there, but no spur, and no wing screw on that spur bracket. The other spur bracket is complete. The rack toms are missing a few screws at the clip mounts. Everything else is complete. The floor tom is the only drum that has a badge. Obviously, some previous owner stripped off the wrap and covered them with matte finish black contact paper. It should be pretty easy to remove, because it's pretty thin and is already cracking/buckling at the lugs. This would make an excellent re-wrap candidate as well. Like I said, I would lovingly restore these myself; I just don't have the time. I'm hoping someone can use them and have fun with them. FYI: The bass drum does have holes for a cymbal bracket, but they are covered by the contact paper.

$100 + shipping. If you need more pictures or need answers to additional questions, I'll be happy to provide either.

Thanks,

V
