While at Columbus Pro Percussion today, I came across two Han Chi "China Elite" cymbals. They were both new, and were 18". Han Chi has been around for awhile, but I didn't know they made anything besides "Wuhan" style chinas (with the big honkin' bell).

Anyway, these were more like Zildjian Swish shaped, a round, "normal" cymbal bell, with a more gradual and wider flange than a Zildjian Swish. They were super thin and were very trashy and surprisngly loud for as thin as they were. I was very impressed with the sound! Big and full sounding, but not as clangy or harsh as true "Wuhan's" can be. See photo below.

Anyway, does anyone know if Han Chi has been around longer than Wuhan? Does anyone know who distributes Han Chi cymbals? I can't find any information on the net.

Thanks,

V
