He had s great bunch of solo albums and that weird 9somrthing time signature of his , a interview with him on jazz radio said when he played with a famous band I think it was based in the 60's he asked them for charts the band leader just said watch me so he played my ear quite a bit one of the great s his talents go on through his recordings RIP
