Greetings. I am Eeej, mostly a vintage guitar collector, but once in a while I stumble on some drums. I found a Whitehall snare at a sale last weekend with a badge that says Whitehall Made In USA. From what I know, Whitehall is a 60's Pearl stencil kit....this drum looks 40's or 50's to me. I'll get some pics up as soon as I figure out how to do that. Cheers!

Hello Eeej...and Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to pictures of this mystery snare. I've no doubt that someone on our forum will know what you've got.

Here's what I have...
My initial observations are: fairly ordinary, birch shell, stained on the outside with a bit of dribbled stain inside. Came in the box pictured. I welcome any input and thank you greatly for your expertise. Cheers!
Your drum is a Kent (the US company, not the MIJ brand), but I'm just not aware that they used the Whitehall badge. We have a resident Kent guru here and maybe he'll know more about this. Sure looks like a cool piece of drum history, though!
