Here are some Made in Italy hihats i picked up today, can anybody give me some info as to aproximate age and if they have any resale value. 14" 735/740 grams and only an ink stamps in a square configuration Made In Italy. See pics below.

Also a Made in Japan 22" ride 2300g that is almost flat and very dark in color as well as sound. Also very trash with a good stick and tons of wobble. My guess is Kingston but if i'm wrong let me know. The Japan stamp is under the bell next to mounting hole. Lots of hammering on this i gave $25.00 for it and i'm happy to be keeping this one, different than any other ride i own!

Thanks for any info you might provide,

Gary.

Sorry for those awful pics i just took them and didn't preview them before posting. I'll work on getting some better ones of the ride, i wish i could make a sound file of this cymbal. You'd be surprised as i am with the sound. The seller was happy to get rid of it and couldn't believe i wanted it...

My Pasha hats have the same Italy stamp on them. I guess they're made by UFIP. I love mine-soft & quiet....marko

Any idea on the age of these hats. About a 7/16" hole. Fits my sonor clutch just fine though.

the hi-hats do look like a UFIP product. there aren't a lot of options in the bell bronze category from the era in Italy. Toscos weren't rotocast but showed lots of obvious hammering in the pre-Sabian period and Zanchis had a different profile, as did Bellotti .
