I have had this pedal for a while and thought I would give restoring it a go.

_Strap: I do some leatherwork and I had some scrap so I made a new strap.

_Base "plate". I've been chatting with friends about potentially adding a plate to it, but I don't know...it just don't feel right.

I have an extra metal bar, and if you look under the pedal (photo) it looks like the weld was done through 2 points. So i'm going to give it a go and if it really doesn't work I'll think about adding a full plate.

_Paint: the previous owner had repainted the pedal black, but I want to give it its original red (or try to match it as much as possible). If any of you have idea what the paint would be called, I would love to know!
