This was a duco finish 22,13 with matching pioneer (trans on bass and pioneer with pre-serial on 13") The finish as you know sometimes flakes bad! I stripped the paint, and refinished to the gorgeous maple exterior. None of the badges were removed in this process, and was painstaking to say the least. I stained it a cherry to give it a more POP effect against the nickel hardware. I searched until I found a 15 that was painted...this is a later 60's parade TOM, not a snare and does not have the cut snare beds. I enlarged the muffler to accept the red felt muffler proper to the era as well...added the extra holes for the tom legs, and there you have it. Not exactly a match on the maple as the time frame of the floor, but I believe is a stunning example just the same. I also sanded and repainted the hoops the original blue of the time period as well. The 22 and 13 have the original pylar heads on both the reso and batters. There is a few date stamps, and can provide if interested. The trans badge on the bass had a pipe fitting through it when I received it as someone placed a light through it at some time. I removed it, and there is a few light scratches on it. The 15" has NOS hoops, and later Ludwig heads. All bearing edges are excellent. The hardware on the floor could possibly need a better polish job. Hope I didn't forget anything, and please feel free to drop me a line about other questions or concerns at surface.n@maplan.com Or call me at 620-242-9166. This kit has DEPTH! Amazing sound as well! You will not be disappointed to say the least! What you get....22,13,15,pioneer with disappearing cymbal post, and snare stand.
