I've had several of these. Everything that I see is representative of the era. The scratches around the mounting holes and also the large washer on the inside of the grommet are correct.

The one I see says transition badge was 1958-59 with some

drums from the 60's having the badge also.

Here are some pics from the inside of my Super sensitive, I'm sure it is also cob. (no badge on drum) I want to do another thread on this one too with questions. It's been in my storage for decades.

I'm pretty sure when the drums where drilled (from the outside in) they had burs that were ground off smooth.

I have a SS cob too, badge is gone and I need a part or two to put it back together.

From what I have read the SS was brought back into production in 1961. Mine has no plastic parts in the snare system, I guess that came a few years later.
