when did Ludwig change to the knob from the bat tone control knob ?

They actually had a knob on the super 400 first in early sixties than late sixties the knob apeared again .

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister

Yep! The change from the white felt baseball bat muffler back to the round knob muffler happened in '68.

thanks Mike ... it's an absolute beauty

been searching for a while and finally found one that was all original ... didn't have a whole lot of damage ... and wouldn't cost me an arm AND a leg ... just an arm ;)

COA but with brass hoops ... exactly what I wanted
