These are not the same as yours. Your kit is a newer kit made around 2004 and they have 9-ply shells.

This particular kit you are showing here belonged to a personal friend of mine, and yes, those are indeed 4-ply drums. I've played them before x-mas3 the hardware is similar, but that about is all that is common with your kit.

I don`t see 9. Both pics. show four to me.

Picture could be better,.but I tell people to run a damp cloth over the edges to show clearly how many layers. The wood changes color and makes it easy to see the layers. 9 plies would leave 8 glue lines.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

With an out of focus photo like this you can see 4 or 9 (or something in between) depending on your visual interpretation. The answer to me is a decent resolution photo which is in proper focus. Then we might get some agreement on the number of plys...but no guarantee.

Hello everyone again from Spain hehehe !! Sorry if I have not explained well before ... I have been looking in the official catalog of ludwig 1994 and does not appear this type of configuration and I would like to know if there is a catalog more than the one on the network such as 1995 From now on ... Thank you very much and greetings from Spain !!

Buyers were (and still are) free to special order any combination of sizes they wanted as an outfit so just because you don't find a particular combination of drums shown in a catalog does not in any way mean they aren't "authentic".
