My 60s ludwig bass drum has the original head. The standard label on the head has gone off colour to a brown tinge on the clear part of the badge. Are there any ways to improve this that people have tried. Interested in thoughts from those with experience.

Mine has the same issue, have not seen any method for removing the yellow that would not also remove the logo paint.
My approach was to either remove the logo, remove the glue with Goo Gone and put the new logo on or source the same era head and add the new logo.
I took the second route to preserve the ”vintage head” if I ever sell the kit and someone wants it.
I did a post a while back on replacement logos for BD heads:

Let us know if you find a way, I would recommend Clubdate64's peroxide and Oxy clean method, reach out to him to see if he tried it on logos.
