I've got some Ludwig Stainless Steel Marching drums, part of a large lot of drums I bought last summer.
They were ABUSED by their previous owners, which I assume to be a high school marching band.
Below are pics of the 10x26 Marching BD. It's chrome finish actually polished up pretty good, but there are scratches, gouges, pitting, small dents (I pounded out the largers ones), etc. etc. etc. The pics show the shape it's in, NOW. It sounds GREAT, just looks BAD.
Now, here's what I'm looking for in the way of "opinions" or "comments."
I have sanded the hoops down, and do intend to paint them and install chrome inlay. I have chrome PVC wrap and COULD "rewrap" this, which would take care of the overall looks.
What do you think I should do?
Wrap, or leave it as is?
Thanks,
Bill
BTW -- the keystone badge has serial # 627577 on it, which makes it a 1968.
I also have 2-12x15 tenor drums, and 2 or 3 12x15 Parade SDs... (3 if I can get that one back in round)
