Ludwig Snare

I?m trying to get some information on this Ludwig snare. I got it new around 1980-1981.

What I see is a Ludwig Coliseum Snare with the Slotted Shell.

Looks like you also have the die cast hoops.

More then likely it has the p-85 Strainer.

Many drum companies have experimented with "Venting" drums and cutting large decorative holes etc.. This as far as I know was one of the first examples of a production snare with "Venting"

Others can probably shed light on that.

What do think the value would be?

Yes the hoops are die cast.

I think the strainer is a p-85 (see pic).

Most of all it is wood. Maple I believe, with a bushed bronze looking cover. A lot of people think that it?s metal at first look. And it is two pieces the tension lugs hold it together.
