Ludwig Psych Red Reissue

Loading...

I found this psych red reissue, it has the large keystone badges mini classic lugs. There are no other badges anywhere on the kit. Does anyone have an idea when these were made? Thanks.

Hey JR! I want to say around 2009. Let's see what our Ludwig experts have to say.

Alert, Alert! The kit is not what it seems. Only the kick is a Ludwig, the tom and floor are Keller shells and the whole kit has been re-wrapped.

The kit was put together by a guy in Tennessee about 12 years ago. Somehow it made it's way to Texas and has been passed off as a genuine Ludwig kit for years. I put it on the Ludwig fb page and got the information first hand from the guy who created this monster.

I traded for these drums and as soon as I got them home I knew there was something not right. I returned them today and will be getting an authentic wmp Ludwig kit on Sunday.

Now Jr

That’s a Ludwig You won’t want to get rid of

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Just wondering, did the seller know it was a fake and sold it to you knowing it, or did he think it was a genuine Ludwig?

Nice of the guy from Tennessee to step-up and fess-up on the Franken-kit he created. Since he did that, I'm guessing he never tried to sell it as a genuine Ludwig, which is cool.

That new kit your picking-up is very pretty!
