it's cool for sure, is it worth flipping? do you really need another non-vintage 13/16/22?

I know "need" is a dirty word on this forum, but "vintage" is a key word.

I like Drums...

I think it's a good deal, the only thing that I am not crazy about is the placement of the rail, and is it Ludwig?

It's a good deal considering what they were going for when they were new. I just hate that reissue wrap! If you're looking to flip, I'd say pass as that would be a hard kit to sell.

1957 George Way BDP 26" concert bass drum
1959 George Way BDP 22/12/16 w/ 5.5x14
1959 George Way Green Sparkle 22/12/16 w/5.5x14
1961 George Way Blue Sparkle 20/12/15
1961 George Way Jelly Bean 20/12/14 w/4.5x14
1960’s Camco Oaklawn Champagne 20/12/14/16w/5x14
1971-73 Camco Chanute Walnut 24/14/18 w/5x14 COB

$700 is definitely a good deal! This is a top of the line, all maple kit. While I'm not crazy about the rail consolette (too many parts slapped together and too heavy looking) and re-issue wrap, it's still a good deal. I could see flipping this kit and making some money. The bottom line is that you really can't find a professional quality maple-shell kit for this price.

As a keeper, you cant go wrong. If you plan to flip, I think you should be prepared to sit on it a while. Most guys that want that wrap want the original and most younger guys want solid wraps or laquer finishes. Still a cool kit IMO.

My opinion only ...

Those were overpriced from the start.

Bad copy of the wrap.

Questionable hardware choices.

Strange bass hoops.

It's like a pseudo-wannabe-vintage-drumkit made of shells that have some quality.

I'd stay away. The hardware mounting and placement is just......wrong.The spurs should be closer to the badge/reso side not the batter side.If it's a right handed kit,the rail should be on the opposite side of where it is now,and so should the cymbal L arm and bass drum mount.Maybe it's me,but it's just bad vibes .

Agree. That hardware is just ... off. There's so much wrong with the kit that it's just tough to even consider. Nice shells, though.

... ... ... DANG! Think about that ... ... ...

Excellent quality shells wrapped in a poor choice of drum wrap with hardware placed in pretty much all the wrong places ... some of it is just flat out wrong hardware ... and capped off with bass hoops picked out by the "Hire The Blind" program part-timer. Then, call the kit a Vintage Throwback and slap a ridiculous price on it.

THERE's marketing genius!

... sorry JR, just had to vent for a second there.
