Ludwig Pointy Rocker Badge No Serial Classic Lugs

Loading...

Hey gang, new member...I have been collecting vintage drums for about 5 years now, long time player. I came across a few Ludwig drums with Rocker badges that are pointy, not rounded...no serial numbers...and what I believe are called the "Classic" hardware rather than the cheaper stuff I have seen on rounded corner Rocker badge drums. Interiors are not painted. 12, 13 toms and a 22 kick. Transition era maybe from late 70's into 80's? Trying to figure out what I have. Links below should open pics.

Tough to tell without seeing the tom mounts and spurs. Is it possible you include a picture of the brackets on the toms, the tom holder/acceptor on the bass drum and the spurs?

Yes, I will post more pics tomorrow. The tom mount coming out of the bass drum has the Ludwig logo with 2 tom arms, but the wing nut that tightens the height has a black plastic handle, which I haven't seen on older Ludwig's that I have owned before. The bass drum spurs are straight. The bass drum hoops have a silver strip I think.

I'd agree with Drumr69. ARDrummer ( a member on here) has or had a kit like that as well. He rewrapped his in teal sparkle I believe.

Here's one of the links that discusses the S/L series.
