I bought a Ludwig marching drum today - 1969 Keystone badge.....in not bad shape $70. There were two in the same Antique/Collectables shop with serial #'s just two digits apart. They had the straps and leg rests the whole bit. He bought them for $100.
It has two date stamps - Dec 31 1968 and Jan 31 1969.
Serial number suggests 1969
My questions:
Is it a good/rare to find two marching drums with the serial #'s this close...that have ended up in a second hand store? Would it be smart to grab the other one? Or....is it no big deal and it would not increase the value to have both. I'm thinking down the road if I decide to sell it/them).
I didn't need another drum but I just cannot stand to go into a shop and see an old drum sitting in the corner with junk piled on it.....as was the case with these two drums.
