Hello everyone,

I have a ludwig bought a ludwig snare, but I don't know if it is an LM or an LB402.

There is a sticker inside the snare drum with "Ludaloy" on it.

What does Ludaloy mean?

Yes, agreed..."ludalloy" is the marketing name for aluminum shell....this makes it the LM402 (if it a 6 1/2" deep shell that is)

I thought that was for the coating or something. Makes more sense it's material. Thanks for the learning.

I had a '79-ish 6 1/2" B/O with the same round sticker. So that would make it an LM402, as well? See pic. It has SN# 2203230; maybe one of you have it now and use it.

Not to hijack, but what strainer is pictured here?

Thanks.

B
