That is going to be a big beautiful kit when youre all done!!! Great job!!! I also cant wait to see it together!
I'm too impatient to wait for the other two drums. I'm gonna use the bass drum at practice tomorrow with the toms from my other kit.
The drum gods owe you !!Bowing
Good save! That's a stellar-looking drum.
WOW! Does anyone think this will work on a "brown" Ludwig blue oyster wrap. It's a 13" tom with white interior and baseball bat muffler. It does not match my kick.
And yes,Carmine sizes for sure on the kit in this thread. Love it, always wanted one!
I tried the same technique on a bowling ball BOP that the white was faded and it worked well for the 1 minute of work I put into it. If the wrap is bad enough then what do you have to lose. I was already prepared for a rewrap when I tried this experiment. As far as the whole Carmine thing goes, I'd love to find another bass drum to go with this one. I think the chances are probably slim and if I did, I'd hate to see what kind of money I'd have to give for it.
Dude that's a helluv a save!
Congrats and thanks for sharing how it was done. They look incredible! I might like to try that on my faded BDP Slingerland kit.
