Ludwig EPIC Snare drum

Loading...

I know this isnt a vintage drum, but I have the chance to grab a Ludwig EPIC snare drum 14x6.5 for $60 usd. They go for $190+ at GC. Are these good snares? Im looking to add another snare to my collection and didnt know if it was worth it. Ive read many reviews but havent found many that ive found helpful and I didnt know if anyone out there has one and if its worth it. Any help would be great. Thanks!

At that price, you could probably turn a profit on ebay, depending on it's condition if you didn't like it. Or, you could sell the shell on ebay and re-use the hardware on a snare drum you make. There are companies making shells a lot closer to how the old ones are made, even though it's not old-growth wood.

I would say it's a decent gamble.

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!
