I've been offered this Ludwig kit in a gold/black duco finish. The 13, 22 are pre- serial numbers and the 16 is a USA Rocker that was made to match. It looks pretty darn close. Anyway, he wants $425 for the three drums. Should I go for it?

Those club date 22” bass drums sound fantastic!!! Seems like a good price and whoever painted the FT seems to have done a quality job. If they sound good to you then grab them.
Run to get those!

They look like a great deal from that pic. Are they local, can you go check them out?
Thank you!

i'm thinking bass and high tom are worth what he is asking, floor is a bonus! looks super to me although I think band on floor could have been a bit wider?
Ya, it does look like it could be a little wider, but it looks cool.
Here's the interior of the tom and floor. I believe the Rocker shells had an inner ply of maple with the outer plys being poplar. He said it had classic lugs and the black/white badge had USA on it. The inner ply of the other two look like mahogany.
Here's one more picture....
Some of those b/w badge models did have that shade of granitone or speckled interiors in them. Some others were maple, tan, brown, grey.

Those drums look very nice. They also seem to be priced right if you don't have to pay shipping charges over and above the price of the drums.
I say pick them up. Very cool kit, only you will know the floor tom isn't a match. I play a set of Rockers with that shell set-up and they're solid drums.
