Ludwig Duco 2

Loading...

Well, I bought the Ludwig duco kit. It has a pre-serial number 13, 22 and the 16 is a USA Rocker that was painted to match with Club Date lugs. I finally got a chance to get them to my drum room and play them today. I had no doubt that the tom and kick would sound good, but I was a bit worried about the floor. Of course it's not as warm, but it has a nice tone and it sounds very good with the other drums.

Sorry Leedbdp, there was no tom mount, but I position the tom at roughly the same angle. Now I'm waiting for a Speed King pedal I bought from idrum4fun to go with the Ludwig cymbal and hi-hat stands. Sorry about the fuzzy pictures, they were taken with my crummy phone camera.

Aren`t you a little young for such a kit ?? My little guy gave it a try with screwdrivers when i was out but I forgave him because the heads are replaceable.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

The drum set looks great. as for the tom on a snare stand....ya do da best using what ya got to work with. It looks to me that you did very well to position the tom in a good orientation. Are there any indicators on the drum shell to suggest that the tom might have once been attached to the bass drum with a hoop mount?

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I saw a video with Bernie Dresel and I thought the way he had his tom and snare angled looked really cool, so I decided to try it. I also put the cymbals more flat. Here's a few pictures with the new Speed King pedal I just received from idrum4fun. I love this one, it's clean and works better than most other Speed King pedals I've owned. It performs almost as good as my new dw 5000 and better than my Camco.

That snare rim is mighty close to that tom DOH, you might end up with sawdust on your nice carpet.

Keep fixing them up...

Don't worry, it's not touching the tom.
