Sorry, I'm not trying to be an ass, but they have been here for several weeks and still asking the same. I am only trying to point out that most cortex 6 ply shells are just not that desirable to vintage guys, that's all.
I am STILL sitting on a black cortex kit w/modular hardware from the 80's that has no issues whatsoever, fully functional and nice. I will probably advertise and sell them as a student kit to gig with until they can afford something "cool". I think my solution will be to strip the hardware and recycle, then put functional beater lugs,etc on it. Reuse and recycle, right? That's where I see the power-tom cortex leftovers headed; for the practice room. You know, kind of like a hand-me-down drum. :2Cents:
