Ludwig Drum Throne

Loading...

I have this Ludwig drum throne with the b/o badge logo. It's pretty comfortable, but I thought I would like one with a back rest. So I found this old Gilbralter bycycle seat with a back rest on cl, the price was right so I bought it.

It turns out it was a little too small and hard for my taste, so I took off the back rest and put it on the Ludwig. I had to remove both metal plates from the bottom of the seats and just screw the Gilbralter plate to the Ludwig seat. Not all the hole spacing was the same, but luckily the four outer holes matched and I was able to screw it on. I'll have to drill new holes for the remaining four inner holes. Anyway, it works great and it just makes the Ludwig throne a little more bad a$$.Walking

The only thing I would have done different is leave the Ludwig script on the front and not behind the back bar.

Did it have to go there or was it optional ?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I believe the logo in white letters is the back of the seat. If I had turned it the other way the top logo would had been backwards when I sat on it. This is the way they advertise it.
