Ludwig Combo Student Snare 1980s ?

I thought I'd start a new discussion. But this is what I picked up at an antique store last week for $55. I knew it wasn't a student snare akin to the legendary Acrolites but I'd never seen a Combo before so I bought it.

Any comments would be much appreciated. Thank you!!

ps sorry about sideway images..!

Hi larryz!!

I re-oriented your pictures so we won't get a kink in our necks! LoLoLoLo

I don't have much knowledge about the Combo series, but I believe that member "mlayton" does. Hopefully he'll see this and respond. Oh, and pretty good score for $55!!

From the '80 catalog. Careful with the tension on those plastic lugs. They are impossible to find! Nice drum!!

Thanks. Any idea on the value? Not that I care much, just curious. Thanks again!

I love the catalog description - "tough shell" .. ha, they are being rather coy I'd say :)

I'll bet a person could get someone with a 3D printer to fabricate some of those lugs!
