ludwig club date value.

Loading...

hi, i have just joined the forum and would like to say i'm glad to be on board and happy easter.

my first enquiry is on behalf of a friend of mine who is considering buying a 1960's black oyster ludwig club date kit. i've not seen it but, from what i can gather, it has been owned from new, regularly gigged and has had a few modifications made over the years. from previous posts i have found on this site about similar kits an average price would seem to be about $900/£600. bearing in mind that we are in the u.k. where these kits are, perhaps, a little more scarce, would anyone be able to advise me as to whether this is a fair assessment, or am i way out and, if so, which way and by how far. my friend has also asked me what would be a fair price for the (pioneer) snare drum alone. i've seen a couple recently priced at £300 plus but this seems o.t.t. for a budget snare to me. looking forward to your feedback.

That statement will keep any speculation at bay. You will need to post pics (very detailed pics) for ANY kind of reasonable guesstimation. Otherwise, whatever might be written here will not be worth the electricity spent to power the monitor. ...and welcome to the forum!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
