They were import models. Think they were made in Taiwan. They got some pretty nice reviews. Now the newer Club Dates are currently being made in Monroe, NC.

A buddy of mine has one of the Club Date SE kits. Having played on it a few times I can say that it's not a bad set of drums at all! They are import drums, but the quality really isn't bad.

Yes, made in Taiwan, but well made! I've read lots of reviews on the SE kits and all were positive. Shells are 6-ply Cherry/Gumwood with full round-over edges. Very classic and warm sounding drums! A real bargain, too! The newer Monroe Club Dates take this a step further with better shells, lugs and some nice classic finishes, including Duco! But, they cost more! Still a good set of drums, though!

Yes these are nice kits and became the Club Dates / Cavern club, etc. of a couple years ago before production moved to US. The can be had for $600 or so on a good day. They had a psychedelic orange version i believe.
