Hi Folks,
Some of you might remember the Club Date restoration I did last year.

I decided to do another one,....
This one is quite a bit more ambitious considering the horrible shape the bass drum is in. Some people probably think I'm nuts but I have a bit of a soft spot for these lost causes,...
The top section of the bass looks more like a colander and next to at least 12 small holes, it had 2 huge holes drilled for tom mounts. (why two ????)
Also a considerable amount of work to be done on the interiors.
Bearing edges are surprisingly enough in good shape.
The pictures are showing today's progress.
Since yesterday, a 15"X12" floor tom is on its way to Europe. Also 10 T-rods & claws are ordered. Still looking for: a rail consolette and a base ball bat muffler for the floor tom.
The choice for the color of the wrap is still very uncertain. I'm down to 4 options: Gold sparkle, Burgundy sparkle, Black oyster 60's or Vintage sky Blue,... any suggestions ?
Regards Stef
