From marko52

markrocks' FT has the Ludwig Classic mounts & legs--may be factory, or may be a retrofit--holes don't quite match--I think one needs to be ovalled to make it fit..........marko

Thanks Marko -

I looked at the 1st pic & it was so puny I couldn't see the mount; 2nd set did the trick. I doubt that mount(s) are correct, my opinion.

Best all!

it's factory, I checked inside of the FT & all is good (& dusty ;-) I found it odd though as I did see one other a while back with the same mounts. Most other ones I saw were the spring loaded legs. maybe some folks at the factory ran out of parts?

the point of the spring loaded ft legs was that the Club Date was, like the new yorker, a "jobber kit" quickly torn down and set up.

Also stamped or bent steele I belive was cheaper than cast. i originally ovalized the holes on my club cate to fit the later style brackets and the washers inside cover the holes you gotta remove one bracket to see if they're factory. a lot of guys hate the spring loaded ft brackets be they Slingy or Ludwig versions, nobody likes their floortom slamming into bass drum t-rods while you're playing.

I like Drums...
