Ludwig by Paiste

Loading...

Hi folks - I have a 14" cymbal that was once part of a hihat set. It says, "Ludwig by Paiste" and was once part of my long since gone Ludwig Champagne Sparkle kit from 1967.

I'm wondering if these cymbals are worth anything? I really like the sound of this one as a small crash. A friend has the original ride cymbal from this kit (I think its a 20").

Also, the 14" has developed some minute fractures in the keyhole. Nothing major ... anything to do about this? Play or not to play? Thanks for any help!

-Doug

ebay, "completed listings" has many examples of 14"ers that have sold for $20-$30 + - . A cymbal w/ even a minor crack will bring less. I'll leave it to others to give advice on how to fix the problem w/ hole cracks.

(BTW, upload some photos of the cracks, & logo. There were some variations in the formula for making these Paistes).
