Well, that's what most thought it was, but others had other opinions, so I'm not totally satisfied that's it's a student model RK snare.
Ludwig Blue Sparkle Drums
This one, it's from the late 50's, I believe the consensus was that it was a student model RK. I originally had two videos with two different angles, the mods removed the second one, apparently that's a no-no. I put the second one back up so you can see and hear the snare better.
JR!
Actually, there's only ONE mod... and that would be me!

Ok Tommyp, I'm glad you'll leave it up, I assure you I'm not saying, "look at me and my technical wizardry " I'm far from that, just wanted to give a taste of the kit to a certain fellow here, but I'd forgotten who he was.

JR/Mark!
Glad to do it!, and not for a second did I think you were going "look at my technical wizardry"... no, it was a nice show of the Ludwigs and not an ego thing at all. Not too long ago jccabinets/Jeff said he would love to hear my 1997 Ludwig BR's, so... I put up a video too! It's just that David and I said going in that we didn't want a TON of vids on the site, and the membership has been real good in that regard, yourself included. Now with that said...
I have one with those same Ludwigs only with my 1967 Rogers wood/WMP Dynasonic as I had just re-headed and was checking the sound/feel. I may just put that one up as it's really showing the Dynasonic and it's tonal spectrum. A vid here and there is fine!

The drums sound great along with your playing. What did you record the video with?

Thanks MickM, I used a Nokia phone that's not even activated, I only use it to record. I've used at several of our gigs and it records very well.

It looks like either a Student Model Radio King that had its hoops replaced with Stick Saver hoops, or a Hollywood Ace that had its strainer replaced with a Radio King strainer.
Nice kit!
