I'm going to be starting a little project on an abused early '60s Ludwig oyster blue pearl bass drum. A prior owner, or owners, drilled holes for two non-original center mounts into the shell of the drum for some bizarre reason. Along with the bass drum shell, I also acquired 20 original classic lugs, although most show some significant pitting. I didn't get any hoops, t-rods or claws. For the project I'll be working, I really don't need "original" hardware, simply "functional" hardware. Are there generic t-rods available that would fit the original classic lugs that came with the drum? I've priced original Ludwig rods but the prices I've seen are prohibitive for the project I'm working. Any words or wisdom or possible sources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and your help!

Gary,
Not sure if these would work but worth a look.

Says they wont work on Perl or DW drums. Measures 3.75" from the shoulder. My t-rods measure 3 7/8 and are barely long enough using a 1 3/4" hoop. There are 1 1/2" hoops out there also though.
Thank you!

I have these. Pretty sure they are older Ludwig. They were a little short for my Club Date Bass drum. They are 6" from collar.
