Hey Gents. I have been hunting for an early 70's ATLAS hi hat stand. I found one on Ebay that is posted as a 60's stand. It looks identical to the early 70's model, except for the steel adjustment knob at the bottom. The 70's model is plastic. My question is, can this be a 70's model?flower

It could be.....there was no specific date when the metal parts were phased out and the nylon ones phased in........they function the same, but the metal parts do hold up better over the long haul. I'd go for the one in the best condition that you can afford to be honest as they are pretty much all the same.
