I knew his best bet would be ebay but I thought he'd end up selling it for around $800 or so. The buyer paid right away also so that is good.

That's right about what I thought too, somewhere between $800 and a $1000. Man, I hope that means that the vintage market is starting to move a little. It's really a hopeful sign for all of us that he did so well with that drum!
