Check out the wrap on this Gretsch round badge kit from the I Love Lucy Show lil Ricky got for Christmas. Oh to have this kit under my tree.

I found the answer to this at drumforum.org! The finish is Midnight Blue Pearl, but the colorization process changed the wrap!

Jeesh...........you can even see the logo on the hi hat cymbals....
Looks like a Istanbul K logo ......twhich would make sense.....as Gretsch were the only ones selling them at the time.....
You can bet Gretsch donated this kit to them..... for free advertising.......as that show was so hot at the time......
Where is the kit now?...doesn't he still, have them?
Or...are they recovered ....with the infamous Pearl 1980's double pipe Tom mount blasted into it?
The kid who played little Ricky was not the real little ricky his name was Thribodoux or something like that......

Yep, pretty close, Mike! His real name was Keith Thibodeaux. The "real" Desi went on of course to play drums and sing for Dino, Desi and Billy. Desi could also play guitar. Billy Hinsche, the guitarist did a lot of touring and recording with The Beach Boys. He is an excellent guitarist and a very accomplished vocalist.

I too was salivating at this kit. Classic Drummer magazine did a great story on little Ricky and the gretsch kit a few years ago.
This was from a few days ago... I think the wrap is probably sky blue
pearl, but its look was changed, due to the "colorization"/transfer from
black and white method of recording.
Keith Thibodeaux went on to lead David And The Giants.
