Looking for Gretsch Double Tom Mount

Loading...

This is the one I am looking for:

Questions:

1. What is the tube diameter on this?

2. Is this also compatible with Slingerland Clip Mounts (brackets on the tom itself) from that same era?

3. Is it made for 8" X 12" and 9" x 13" toms?

I am trying to retrofit this onto my existing 1966 Slingerlands. The down tube on that mount is 5/8". If the Gretsch has a thicker down tube, can the top section of the Gretsch mount come off easily, and can it fit on a 5/8" tube? (See thread here for what I am trying to replace):

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the response!

Does anyone know if the very top of the mount (at the top where the horizontal brace attaches to the down tube) is easy to get off?

If so, I would like to try to use it with my existing 5/8" Slingerland down tube. I may have to widen the hole on the horizontal brace for the Gretsch, but I could have threads cut on the top of my 5/8" tube and then tighten the Gretsch down securely with a stop nut.

It might be crazy, but it just might work!

How rare are these Grestch tom mounts?
