Look at this 70s Slingerland Maple finish...

So have you ever seen Slingerland finishing this sloppy around the badge? Or obviously someone schlepped on some stain/poly to cover up a worn finish? Looks like maple grain to me, and the current owner is searching for M stamps.

Common, some people just add a really thick sloppy coat of varnish on their drums. I have had to refinish a bunch of them. Varnish stripper, and 6 or 8 coats of oil. Works everytime.
