Long Time Away

I'm kind of suprised I still have my user name, been away for so long, but I have a few posts I need to share. first, recently I heard about this song Wolf Gang Van Halen performed and it was up for a grammy. Hmmmm, I thought I recognized that last name. LOL...I never really knew much about Eddie's son so I decided to do some research on him and this song. What I discovered literally blew my socks off!! I never knew Eddie's son played in his band from 2012-right up to Van Halens last tour. (he played bass) but as I dove into this kid what I found was a musical genuis. Talk about talent being passed through the genes is an understatment!!! I watched a video Wolf made with him in the studio, and you better sit down for this ....he plays every instrument, sings all vocals (lead and back up harmoney) plus he recorded it, sound edited it, and produced it. WHO DOES THAT???

in the video, which is a must watch, they show him playing the drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and him in the studio. they put each segment together, so it looks like hes a one man band. ( which is exactly what hes doing. ) in all my years of watching musicians of all types. Ive never ever seen talent like this in my life. PLus as a bonus. the song ROCKS!! in case the link doesnt work , just search

Mammoth WVH Don't back down, studio recording. enjoy guys. this is incredible

I didn't know that EVH has a son who is also in the R'n'R scene. Tremendous musician and a great song. Thanks for sharing.

We saw Van Halen in concert around 2008 when they reunited with David Lee Roth. Wolfie was playing bass with the band then. It was hard to tell how good he was, but he certainly didn’t detract from the overall sound of the band. I think Wolfie was about 16 or 17 at the time.

Dave Grohl was the only musician for the first Foo Fighters album, I believe. Watching Wolfgang shred on Taylor Hawkins tribute from Wembley was enough to know his chops are A+.
