I'm new here.

I've got a vintage LM402 (from the 1970s, I think) and would like to install a Remo no-collar snare side head on it.

However, it appears I'm going to need longer tension rods.

According to the Ludwig parts catalog, the tension rods on the LM402 are the P3023-A ones, which apparently are 2-5/16".

Now being a numpty when it comes to mathematics, I believe that equals about 58.7375mm in length.

So I'm going to need longer ones than that.

Is anyone able to tell me what the next size up (in terms of length) would be, if in fact Ludwig makes a longer tension rod?

And if not, which after-market rods I should get?

I guess I'd be looking for at least 60mm in length...
