Let's see your drum room!!

My Room is more of a Drum Area. I share the large Rec Room in the basement with the TV and some furniture.

I'm seeing some great drums in your room! Is that a 12" deep Ludwig bass drum? The floor tom appears to be a Slingerland? What's the size? Looks pretty cool!

Can’t get anything past you, Mark! Yes, that’s a 1957 New Yorker with the 12x22 bass, 8x12 tom and a COB Supra. I added the 1961 Slingerland marching tenor as a floor tom (the Ludwig legs and mounts just arrived today!).

I bought the Slingy on Ebay for only $80 because it had extra holes, a puncture, and had turned a sea green. Wet-sanded it back to blue and put legs in some of the extra holes and the wham-o hole.

The floor tom is 12x15, and has the same construction as the Ludwigs (mahogany-poplar-mahogany) and sounds great.

Just could not put them back into the closet while this room stays empty until Sept. So I have my drum room now this is all I'll do today. I had them in here before but were set up different. I might like this way best.

Josh! Wow, what a difference in the before/after shots of the Slingerland drum. Those 12x15 tenor drums make excellent floor tom conversions. I did the same with a Rogers marching tenor!

I had a feeling that 12x22 was a New Yorker!

Very cool rooms.

I think any drum room is the best room in the house no matter what shape it is in.

I feel like such a piker looking at these drum rooms. All very cool. Mine is the back end of a shed in ME that used to look as if it was a hideout from the movie Deliverance. It does work for the purpose after a bit of blood, sweat and tears. White pegboard inside and a little old Dayton flat grey era Rogers I got from Chris Hawthorne for short $$. Fun, fun, fun.
