Leonard Cohen's Passing

Loading...

I am deeply saddened by the passing of a great Canadian musical icon. Mr. Leonard Cohen was a writer who could cut us to the quick with his honest and insightful lyrics and music. He was hopeful and depressed at times, but, never doubtful of the power of human love and compassion. He was a poet with a heart of gold. A tunesmith in the style of simpler times. I don't know. Maybe Willie, Paul Simon or Mr. Dylan could rival Leonard in pure expression but, I would cast my vote for Leonard as the evoker of stark emotion. You were a great inspiration to me, Mr. Cohen. I hope you always soar among the stars. Love you.

Here's a clip of Leonard in Don Owen's 60s Canadian flick "The Ernie Game". Ernie is played by Alexis Kanner, who also had the title role in "Mahoney's Last Stand" aka "Downtown Farmer"...

R.I.P Leonard.

Thank you my friend for your respect and support for a song writer and musician who truly put not only his incredible raw personnel sacrifice but emotions into his music and lived his life I believe in the same. He will be missed, may he now rest in peace.
