Just saying if there was a snare

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Snare? Who said anything about a snare?Once again, I think you guys are low-balling the value of the kit. In my mind, the Leedy character plus-up outweighs everything. Try finding a 60s Leedy - you'll find 20 Slingerland kits for every one Leedy. Frankly, I don't think of BDP as a minus, just not a plus. Like blue or red sparkle - typical.Sure looks clean to me. Weigh the advantage of a no-work acquisition into your equation. But frankly, JR, you don't seem to keep kits in the stable very long, so are you really more asking about flip-value?
I was offered this kit for one of mine, just wanted to make sure it had the same value. I put mine at $1,200-1,300, so judging by what I've seen it wouldn't be a good trade.
I think that set can easily bring $700. I paid $700 for my blue sparkle '65 Leedys with changed tom legs and bass drum spurs. They're Slingerland drums in most ways. I too like the Leedy lugs. I use these drums on small space gigs, because they are 20/12/14. They sound fine and look good.

That kit sounds nice. Lift us a picture or two when a minute allows.
