Would anyone interested in these 14" Leedy Superior HARDWHITE drum skins? One has about a one inch tear which, like a cymbal repair to halt the spread of a crack, had the ends of the tear 'drilled' out. The hoops on them are not perfectly round which I would imagine being a result from age related shrinkage. I placed them up against one of my 14" metal snare drums and they would need stretching to fit, if possible. From the backside, the wood hoop is visible on one (without the tear) where the skin has pulled away from the hoop, so I assume they are both of the same construction.

I have no experience dealing with calfskin heads so I do not know if these can be 'restored' to be mounted on a drum. If that's possible, they may be good for brushwork, or in the least, mount on a period drum for a vintage look. Otherwise, they may only be good as a display upon a wall.

The last picture has some black spots near the center, these are not holes, but rather age spots or stains.
