Bought the drum from drummer friend Dave Mattacks some years ago . It was used on Fairport Convention's album ***el In The Crown . DM had the drum refinished in white lacquer ; the hardware was re-chromed ; and the drum is strung with gut snare wires which gives the drum a very dry almost military type of sound .

I'm looking for a Yamaha Birch , Beech , Oak or Maple Custom snare no deeper than 6x14 .

I'm in Japan BTW but have many references if you should require any .
